The Long & Shorts Of It!

Every time I sit down and write on my blog I want it to be witty, interesting, and informational. But with my outfit posts I find there really isn't much to say that you can't get from the pictures. Explaining to you that I paired the below faux leather shorts with a heavy cable knit sweater, jean jacket and over the knee boots with brightly colored socks is unnecessary because you can get that information from the photographs. I could tell you it was a perfect fall day where the sun was shining, the turned leaves crunched beneath our feet and there was just enough wind to cause havoc to my hair, but that is all evident. My writing is not adding anything special to the post so why even write anything at all? Yet, here I am blabbing away just to hear my own voice in my head. Am I really that egotistical to think that you long for me to write something? No, I can assure you that I am not.

Writing does not flow from my head to fingertips as easily as I would like, so attempting to write a little blurb is good practice. I am hoping, as time goes on, my text will improve and my confidence will progress with every new post. There may be times that my writing may have nothing to do with the outfit that I am showing, but that's okay, right? This blog is all about my creative expression through writing, fashion, photography, and soon to come videos. I will share my reflections on everyday occurrences and interactions with family, friends, and people I meet along the way. It is about what I like, what I think is interesting, what I am pondering and what I find beautiful. Ummm... maybe I am an egomaniac!

All kidding aside, I know that you will never enjoy this blog journey as much as I am. Every post for me is a different adventure where I discover new interests that keeps my mind active with fresh ideas and new point of views. I could have easily quit my job to take a couple months off and done absolutely nothing. I know that for my well-being, I need to be busy and this blog gave me purpose and a new direction. Putting all of this into a public forum challenges me to produce interesting and creative content while making me accountable to deliver more.

Wow... for somebody who started this post with nothing to say I sure said a lot! Thank you for reading and helping me to forge into the future.
